Caserta Palace: Where Extravagance meets Elegance
My Experience at Caserta Palace
This trip was a completely spontaneous adventure with a friend. I had just gotten back from my trip to Ravello but wasn’t quite ready to go back home, so my friend suggested exploring this site. It’s close and cheap so we jumped in the car and went!
We walked the entire route inside, taking in the extravagant architecture and amazingly detailed decor. From the wall and ceiling paintings to the furniture, each room truly had it all.
We then took a tour of the grounds out back on a horse drawn carriage. There were fountains, statues, and even a natural pond. The setting sun made this even more magical.
My Final Thoughts
This was so much fun, especially for such a last minute, unplanned adventure! I would definitely go back to further explore the grounds and perhaps have a picnic.
