Milan: An Exciting Mix of Old and New
Just for some context, this was my last travel adventure without even knowing it before COVID hit Italy. It was this weekend that it exploded and sent everything into a tailspin, followed by months of lockdown and restrictions.
My Experience in Milan
My friend and I decided to come on a weekend trip on a whim, and it was a great decision! Between the old architecture and new artwork, there is so much to see. We took a tour and were taken on a journey through time, pointing out all the detailed history hidden in plain sight. You can also easily walk around as if it were a huge open-air museum. This city holds a rich history with a modern twist and plenty of variety in food, scenery, and lifestyle.
My Final Thoughts
This quick relaxing trip was fun and much needed. It’s a very walkable city with beautiful architecture and art everywhere you look. Although it is very walkable, it has sufficient public transportation to get around town. It has a unique mix of old and new which made it interesting and refreshing at every corner.
Thank you for reading and happy traveling. Don’t forget to leave a little sunshine everywhere you go!
